It’s nearly time to say goodbye to 2013 then hello to 2014. More importantly, that means festival season is inching closer and closer! It might be a while away still (only a nippy winter and a slow spring stand in our way) but we already have a sneak peek into who is performing where next year.
2013 Reading and Leeds headliners Biffy Clyro will this year head to the Isle of Wight as their exclusive choice this summer. Following on from the Scottish trio will be compatriot Calvin Harris who will close the night straight after with Rudimental featuring on a Friday slot. The 13th year also sees Passenger, The 1975 and The Waterboys confirmed for next years bill.
At their only UK show in 2014, Blink 182 have been revealed as the first headliner for the Reading and Leeds festivals over the August Bank Holiday weekend making it their fourth appearance at both festivals. Jake Bugg, Disclosure and Metronomy have also been confirmed.
Metallica and Iron Maiden complete an exclusive double metal whammy at Sonisphere 2014 from 4th-6th July 2014. This double appearance has been confirmed as the only UK shows for 2014 by both bands. Funnily enough, it will also be the first time the two bands have played together.
Field Day 2014 sees Metronomy headlining on the Saturday in Victoria Park. The fest also sees other big names in the electric world such as Daniel Avery, Danny Brown, Dusky, George Fitzgerald, Dixon (Residential Advisor’s top DJ) b2b with Ame and many more.
